    The City of Fairfax Professional Firefighters and Paramedics IAFF Local 2702 supports the City of Fairfax Fire Department's efforts in improving community outreach within your community. The City of Fairfax Fire Department is always looking for new avenues to increase the services provided to it's citizens and have created numerous, high-quality community service programs.     Donations Sought for Children’s Coats

    The City of Fairfax Professional Firefighters and Paramedics IAFF Local 2702 has partnered up with City of Fairfax Fire Department ?and the City of Fairfax Public Schools as ambassadors in Operation Warm.  Together we will be providing new winter coats for local school age children living in poverty.  These coats are proudly Made in the U.S.A. by some of our union sisters and brothers and have a tag in each coat saying so.

    The City of Fairfax Firefight­ers  and Paramedics will working directly with the superintendent of the City of Fairfax Schools, Dr. Phyllis Pajardo to help personally fit each child in need with a new coat. We are proud to say that our firefighters and paramedics have helped approximately 300 kids in need of coats over the past few years. We hope to continue to provide this service to our local community for many years to come with as much success as we have had in the past.

    The City of Fairfax Fire Department is pleased to provide parents and caregivers with the personal attention they need to learn how to properly install and use their child’s safety seat. This service is provided by appointment and is available to City of Fairfax residents only. Residents may call 703.385.7830 to arrange for individual assistance.
